Welcome back for an exciting year in 2009. As in last year’s blog, I want this site to be used as the main means of communication between and within the faculty.
Topics to be covered in our first meeting include: explicit teaching of spelling, digitalising of our learning units, Romeo and Juliet, naplan results and how they should inform your teaching.

Hi all! Well who could believe that we are already into week 3! It won’t be long and the end of term will have come around. It has been an exciting start to the year, particularly with the introduction of the Spalding Program being introduced to our school. Things are going smoothly so far for my classes, Year 7’s seem to be settling in well and Year 12’s are busy working hard. I look forward to staying in touch with you all throughout the year! I like the idea of sharing files, but don’t think we have the right vehicle for that yet. There are some issues with this.
1. Access: It should be something that we can access freely through the system.
2. Useage: If we don’t use it add to it and otherwise share it won’t work.
3. Talk about it and encourage colleagues to use it and contribute to it.
4. This will also mean a certain consistency within the usage of resources without it being too constraining.
